About Us


How we met

A friend of Mike's (and roomate at the time) was working for Comcast along with Jess. Mike would occasionally meet up with his friend at Comcast-sponsored Happy Hours where he became friendly with several employees. In early 2004 at Duffer's Tavern in Glen Mills, Mike saw Jessica for the first time. They didn't meet that night but Mike was hoping to get the chance down the road. A couple of months later another Comcast co-worker of Jess' (and also a friend of Mike's) suggested that the two meet at the next get together at The Darkhorse Pub in Philadelphia. And so they finally were introduced and talked for a few minutes. Mike, unsure of how the intro went, was pleasantly surprised when Jess sat down next to him later in the night where the two talked some more. Both went to another bar with the group and later made tentative plans to meet again.


Our first date

A few weeks after meeting, Mike and Jess arranged to go to dinner at Basil Bistro in Paoli. Jess was late - a theme throughout their relationship - but Mike didn't mind. Jess loves the fact that, after ordering a glass of wine, Mike also ordered a glass for himself even though he hates wine. Mike denies this. After a good first date, the two made plans for a second date at the Manayunk Bike Race. Afterward the two had their first kiss in the parking lot of Mike's apartment in Devon. After a "chip n' putt" 3rd date, in which Mike realized he potentially found a steady playing partner, the two were officially dating.


A little about the couple

Mike and Jess both enjoy the comforts of home - homecooked meals, a comfy couch and a DVR full of shows. On occasion they wander outside to "have a catch", play 9 holes of golf, eat out (Chilis, Sidewalk Cafe, Collegeville Diner, and Gino's!) and attend sporting events.

Jessica Daher

Jess grew up in Kimberton, PA, where she went to Phoenixville Area HS. She attended Boston University on a track scholarship. Following graduation and a brief stint in San Diego, Jessica moved back to the Philadelphia area and landed a job with Comcast's traffic department in West Chester where she still works as a Traffic Supervisor.

Jess will turn 30 on December 12th of this year, something she is none too pleased about, although I think the celebration should be much more pleasant with a ring on her finger. In her spare time, Jess enjoys cooking (and watching cooking shows!) and also co-owns Two Cool Cookies, an organic ice cream cookie sandwich business, which was featured in last year's Philadelphia magazine.

Michael Viscusi

Mike grew up in Holland, PA, where he went to Council Rock HS. He attended Penn State University and moved back to the Philadelphia area after graduation. He currently works as Customer Services Manager for BlueGolf, a small software company in Wayne, PA.

Mike is almost one year younger than Jess - he'll turn 29 on December 1st. In his spare time he enjoys watching sports, playing golf & basketball, and he runs mv|creative, a freelance web design company.
